James Upsets DJ Mag

Those of you that know me, know I like to write a good letter of complaint sometimes. The response I receive tends to show me what the company is made of, and its ability to serve its customers. Recently I realised that I had stopped receiving my DJ Mag subscription. I was still being debited for it. Top 100 DJ Polls

I thought I might do a little comparison of DJ Mag and Resident Advisor’s top ten DJs, as voted for by their respective public. Of course, my opinion is subjective. DJ Mag 10. Axwell.  I recall liking one of his tracks back in 2003/04.  He has no relevance to me now, not quite a cheese grater to the ears, but quite possible vomit-inducing. 9. Women DJs

Have you ever wondered why it seems that about 99% of DJs are men?  In my world it isn’t quite that percentage, at least in my perception – the art of being a good DJ is being able to understand what the crowd are looking for and being able to respond to their desires, and I don’t see why one sex would be better than the other sex at understanding a dancefloor’s desires.
